Pinal County’s Animal Care and Control will host the “Just One Day” event this Monday, June 11, at the PCACC Shelter located at 1150 South Eleven Mile Corner Road in Casa Grande.
“This Monday our shelter, along with thousands across the nation will once again participate in the “Just One Day event,” said Animal Care and Control Director Audra Michael. “We are pledging not to euthanize any adoptable animal on that day. In honor of our no kill commitment, we will be hosting a reduced adoption event from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM.”
Michael said that all dogs and puppies will have an $11.00 adoption fee. The adoption event will be on a first come-first serve basis, the animal must be available for adoption, and the shelter will not put a hold on any animal. All adoptions will include spay or neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination and a license (if the adopter lives in Pinal County).
There will also be a vaccination clinic for members of the public from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the shelter. PCACC is offering a free rabies vaccination with the purchase of a license. Animal owners do not need a license to bring your dog or cat and pay only $9.00 for a rabies vaccination. Parvo/distemper vaccinations are available and microchips will be available for only $20.00.
“The shelter if full of loving animals looking for a loving home,” Michael said. “I hope people can find a place in their home and their heart for one of these special pets.”
